After hearing that the famous car park in central Gateshead was to be demolished I decided to capture this iconic image from the film Get Carter.
I produced this pastel from an original drawing I had done whilst sitting on the top of a car park in Newcastle.
I tried to capture the mood of the building and knowing that it was not going to be there much longer was quite an influence.
