I am a self-taught artist from Northumberland, born in the mining town of Ashington before moving to Ellington aged 11

I have been known as Deetz all my life and I now sign all my prints with my nickname

Growing up in these areas dominated by mining and strong community spirit was a massive influence in my early work.

Recently my style has developed into showing the humor and maybe less obvious beauty in our great region
