Known to friends & family as “Ray” I am a 67yr old Watercolour Artist based in Blyth in the North East of England.

In the past I studied Display & Exhibition Design at Newcastle College of Art & now that I'm retired I am really enjoying getting to grips with what can be a difficult but rewarding medium.

As a proud Northumbrian my work is based mainly around some of the spectacular views to be found in rural & suburban Northumberland.

My main influences in Watercolour have been Joseph Zbukvic, David Curtis & John Yardley and recently I have started to paint in Oil's spurred on by my admiration of the works of Pete Brown and Ken Howard and so the learning process continues.
