I have worked as a full time Artist since 1995. I trained at Newcastle College of Art and Industrial Design in 1965 and worked as a Designer as well as travelling and working in Europe, South America, Australia and New Zealand.

My current work is exhibited in Newcastle, Northumberland, Edinburgh and intermittently in London. I have had work accepted by the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters on three occasions in the past ten years. This work was exhibited in the Mall Galleries in London
My main work is in the Watercolour medium and is often described as ‘Architectural’; however I have recently spent time with the Painter - Ann Oram, at various schools in Scotland. This has proved to be an influence on my use of colour and subject matter. I hope that this will influence my painting in a positive way in the years to come.

For my most recent work I have developed –The Tryptychs. They are made up of various images of both Newcastle and Northumberland which have been in my head for some time. They are painted ‘on the spot’ around areas where I spend a lot of time.Each Tryptych is made up of 3 complimentary images around the same theme.
